STEINADLER MILL
in Westerholz
This mill was built in Westerholz in 1877. It is one of the largest smock mills today. It was used as a sawmill for the kilns of the neighbouring brickworks. That’s how it got the name Steinadler. The mill is known well beyond Schleswig-Holstein’s borders. The ZDF television series “Der Landarzt” used the windmill and the picturesque surroundings as a filming location for many scenes.
