Flensburg is open for business!
Let’s go on a shopping spree! Sunday shopping in Flensburg! The shops in the city centre and the shopping malls and outlets invite you to stroll, browse, try, and shop till you drop on this Open Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm. Also, an exciting supporting programme awaits the visitors!
On 01 and 02 October, the Flensburg pedestrian zone will be transformed into a long table. We invite all Flensburg residents and visitors to take a seat at our around 220 marquee tables and 440 marquee benches. A great place to have a picnic, take a break from shopping, or just enjoy a nice get-together. Of course, you can bring your own food and drinks, or buy them spontaneously on site at the food stalls and the local restaurants.
The table stretches from Südermarkt via Holm and Große Straße to Nordermarkt. Dominating themes are integration, and inclusion. "Flensburg is diverse - we all share the same table". Especially in our difficult times, we care to bring people together. To join and have a good time. To have friendly conversations, maintain social contacts and establish new ones. And first of all – having a good time together.
In addition, agricultural machines will be on display at the Südermarkt, where visitors can come very close to the mighty machines. The operators will be happy to tell you exactly how such a machine works, and what it can do. In the middle of the Südermarkt, a large pile of hay bales will be built up. Not only for decoration. but also as a fun "mountain" to climb for the children.
The big malls, Cittipark, Förde-Park, Möbel Schulenburg, and Bauhaus will be open and welcoming visitors in Flensburg on Sunday between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. providing fascinating activities on the occasion of the Erntedankfest (Thanksgiving).
Dates subject to pandemic development and regulatory approvals.
