THE MILL TOUR BY BICYCLE

Sheer nature around Glücksburg

The Mill Tour (Mühlentour) has many tourist highlights and fantastic firth panoramic views along undulating hills and through picturesque villages in store for you. The route passes Glücksburg Castle and cuts across the Unewatt countryside museum, joining the famous Baltic Coast Cycle Route for a few kilometres. You can then head to the beach in Langballigau to catch your breath after your hilly journey and recharge your batteries for the trip back to Glücksburg. Many old windmills dot the 28 km route, hence the name “Mill Tour”.

Nature of the route

The Mill Tour consists of trails along both heavy-traffic roads as well as less-busy byroads. The entire route is paved except for a short section near Langballigholz. It alternates between many short inclines that may be challenging for beginners and bursts of flat landscape, giving the tour a diverse character.
