Fördepaddeln (Fjord Paddling)

A synchronised paddle through Flensburg’s history

Yellow boats, yellow life jackets, yellow paddles – when the Flensburg Fjord turns yellow, Fjord Paddling is out and about. On a tour lasting around two hours, you’ll discover Flensburg from a kayaker’s perspective and experience the special feeling of gliding effortlessly across the water.
Your starting point is the Museumswerft. From here, you’ll paddle past the ‘Alexandra’ and the classic yachts to the tip of the harbour. The route continues north along the eastern shore and back through Galwik Bay. Along the way, enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with fascinating stories about the city and its highlights.
No prior experience is needed: if you can go for a leisurely walk, you’re fit enough. Your age doesn’t matter either – children under 14 simply need to be accompanied by an adult. The only important thing is that you can swim.
Before you set off, the team will show you everything you need to know about paddling and getting into the kayak safely. The stable two-person kayaks and the calm water ensure a relaxing experience.
