FLENS StrandGut - For locals, holidaymakers and nature in the north

The Flensburg brewery cares about its local beaches. FLENS is realising the StrandGut campaign for the eighth time in a row. In addition to the campaigns in Schleswig-Holstein, beaches in Lower Saxony are now also being cleaned. This year, the Flensburg brewery is cooperating with sustainable interest groups such as Coast Against Plastic. FLENS aims to raise environmental awareness among helpers by providing additional information material, such as educational posters, an information booklet about rubbish on the beaches of the North and Baltic Seas and a rubbish sorting list.

Creating more unique nature experiences

In northern Germany, we have kilometres of sandy beaches and anyone who is interested can help to preserve our Nordic feel-good places through the FLENS StrandGut campaign. For every promotional label bottle sold, one square metre of beach is cleaned. The FLENS StrandGut campaign is being expanded to make even more unique nature experiences possible. The local tourism partners (LTOs) in Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony are supporting the litter clean-up campaigns on the respective North Sea and Baltic coasts.

The StrandGut campaign will take place on the Flensburg Fjord on Saturday, 14 June 2025.
