Glittering lights and cosy hours in Glücksburg
Autumn is knocking at the door and bringing its colourful splendour with it. To highlight this in particular this year, we are organising the "Sea of Lights" and bringing cosiness and a glow of lights to Glücksburg.
From 15 to 17 October, the spa gardens in Glücksburg will once again shine in a festive glow of lights and herald the golden season. On all three days, the spa gardens and the pier will be illuminated in a very special way. A varied and "hyggelig" programme awaits you. For example, the mobile barrel sauna on the spa beach in Sandwig invites you to relax from Friday to Sunday (15:00 to 21:00) with an extraordinary experience factor. Those who want to get their metabolism in the perfect mood for the season, have the opportunity to cool off in the fjord at the end of the day. The adjacent sauna lounge is also available for relaxing with a tea or snack.
On Friday and Saturday, the atmospheric Festival of Lights will be celebrated in Glücksburg's Kurpark. Surrounded by countless lights, you'll have the opportunity to feast at various food trucks, bake bread on a stick and listen to live music.
On Friday evening, as a prelude to the sea of lights in this atmospheric setting, there will also be a special kind of fire show, which will not only make the little visitors wide-eyed.
One of the many highlights of the Glücksburger Sea of Lights (Lichtermeer) will be the lantern parade, which starts on Friday at 5:30 pm at the beach promenade and ends here again after a 45-minute round through the streets. In addition, the three most beautiful lanterns will be awarded great prizes. Prerequisite: Only lanterns you have made yourself will count! So get your hobby scissors and parchment paper ready.
Note: A prerequisite for the planned activities is, of course, coordination with the authorities with regard to the pandemic infection and the resulting restrictions. We therefore reserve the right to make changes.
