Family fun for all ages
The Gettorf Zoo is located between Kiel and Eckernförde. It has been family-run for three generations, for 40 years. Over an area of eight hectares, you can discover over 850 animals and more than 150 species. Watch as the monkeys are fed and take a walk along the African and Australian section to see how zebras and kangaroos live. In the South American enclosure you can observe rheas, capybaras and rabbits.
The petting zoo is great fun for visitors of all ages. You are free to experience and pet the Cameroon sheep, miniature donkeys and miniature goats up close in their enclosure. The Gettorf Zoo is a great experience for the whole family.
